"What does the future of office and collaboration in companies probably look like?" - these and similar questions are currently widely discussed in the media. Although it is hard to hear or write about, the Corona pandemic with "social distancing" has driven digitization in many companies with regard to home office, but also the competent handling of project and customer appointments. This is also the case for us: Flexible home office models are and will remain firmly integrated into our daily work routine. We are also increasingly meeting our customers virtually; even in creative workshops such as our user experience sessions, where a non-physical presence would have been unthinkable for a long time. How does this work? With the right preparation and the right mix of methods and tools, any workshop can also be successfully conducted in virtual space.

For example, it makes sense to divide the classic full-day face-to-face workshop into several short blocks so that participants also have defined spaces in between to pursue day-to-day business. In addition, tools are needed with which face-to-face collaboration can be simulated well, e. g., on a whiteboard. Because one thing is clear: permanent, active involvement is the be-all and end-all in order not to lose attention.

Who knows, maybe at some point virtual meetings will even establish themselves as the new standard and only individual formats will take place in presence. Either way, we will be prepared.
